The game was also significant in bringing Stuart McCall and Wayne Jacobs back to the club as members of the Bantams' Legends side, where they were joined by several members and friends of the Trust Board. Mark Lawn and David Baldwin made appearances on the same occasion, so that the game prefigured City's management history for the next three years and more.

Many congratulations to Yorkshire's Howard Webb, who has reached the pinnacle of his profession by refereeing the World Cup Final. Members may recall that Howard officiated at the Anniversary Charity Game organised by Bradford and Barnsley Supporters' Trusts, and held at Oakwell in May 2007. We obviously helped to set him on the right path.
