Lord Mayor recognises supporters groups/Northants apologies and thanks

Supporters groups always attend the Bradford Fire commemoration, but for the first time in recent years supporters have been invited by the Lord Mayor to be part of the official ceremony.

A representative of BCST will join representatives of the City Gent, Shelf Bantams, Shipley Bantams and the White Abbey Branch Supporters Club at next Tuesday's 25th Anniversary commemoration in Centenary Square at 11.00 am. The Chair of the Lincoln City Trust will be attending the event, accompanied by her husband. The Mayor has also invited a representative of the Bangladeshi community in the vicinity of the stadium, to honour the comfort and support that members of the community gave to City fans on that dreadful day 25 years ago.

BCST will be writing to the Northampton Town Trust to express our gratitude at the efforts made by Northants fans to support the commemoration on the last home game of the season, and to apologise for the disgraceful behaviour of a small number of City fans at the conclusion of the match.
