Council to review Disabled Parking Access

Following an enquiry from BCST chair, Alan Carling, Bradford Council's Department of Regeneration, Traffic and Highways (North) section has confirmed that a review of parking facilities is currently taking place and has advised the following:

To address the needs of Disabled supporters of Bradford City, the council has implemented Disabled Badge Holders Only, Saturday 12-6pm, within the full extent of the lay-by at Rock Terrace, Midland Road. This Traffic Regulation Order was sealed and became operational on 7th November 2009.

A review is currently being undertaken of waiting and parking restrictions for the whole length of Lumb Lane and Manningham Lane (Drewton Road to Marlborough Road / Queens Road), including side roads. This review will include streets in the vicinity of Valley Parade as well as a 'Match Day' order. There may be scope within this scheme to provide additional Disabled On-street Parking Places.
